Production capabilities and facilities

CHINAZ OIL REFINERY LLC has a refining capacity of 470,000 barrels of crude oil per day. Production operations are monitored 24/7 by a network of computerized control systems managed by highly qualified personnel, ensuring smooth and efficient operation.

CRUDE OIL DISTILLATION PLANTS

The refining process begins at the crude distillation units (CDU), of which we have three at our refinery. Crude oil enters the atmospheric distillation units and is distilled into various fractions, each with a specific boiling range. The resulting fractions are then processed in various units to meet specified product quality requirements. Most of the atmospheric residue is sent to the vacuum distillation unit, which separates vacuum gas oil and vacuum residue.

Catalytic reforming complex

The catalytic reforming complex processes naphtha from catalytic reforming units into high-octane reformate used in gasoline production.

The products from the hydrocracking reactor are sent to fractionating columns for product separation, with a portion of the unconverted crude at the bottom of the fractionating column being recycled back to the hydrocracking reactor to increase conversion. The presence of hydrogen in the hydrocracking process results in products with very low sulfur content and superior quality, requiring no further processing. Lighter products such as naphtha, kerosene (jet fuel), and low-sulfur diesel fuel form the main products. Sulfur compounds produced during the hydrotreating process are recovered in the sulfur recovery unit and ultimately produced as flake sulfur.

Hydrocracking complex

Hydrocracking using Unicracker technology produces high-quality, low-sulfur middle distillate products from heavy fuel oil components. Vacuum gas oil, along with hydrogen, is passed through a hydrotreating reactor to remove undesirable impurities, after which it undergoes catalytic cracking, a process involving high temperature and pressure in the presence of catalysts and hydrogen.

Visbreaker

The visbreaking unit processes heavy atmospheric and vacuum residues through thermal conversion into low-viscosity distillates and fuel oil, providing CHINAZ OIL REFINERY LLC with greater flexibility to meet changing market needs.

BERTHS FOR LOADING ONTO VESSELS

Our oil refinery complex has extensive berth facilities, including seven berths servicing the loading and unloading of crude oil and refined petroleum products. The berths can accommodate vessels with a deadweight of up to 387,000 tons, a maximum overall length of 355 meters, and a loaded draft of 21 meters.
